Botanical Garden PICNIC Concert

The Cloud 9 Band will be performing a tribute to the Rock 'n' Roll story of the late 50's, 1960's & 70's under the band stand at the beautiful Garden Route Botanical Gardens on Saturday 30th January 2016 from 4pm – 6pm. 

BOTANICAL GARDEN OFFICE CLOSED:

Please note that the Botanical Garden Offices and Nursery will be closed from Thursday, 24th of December 2015 and will re-open on Monday, the 4th of January 2016.

Most people are under the impression that the Garden Route Botanical Garden is a Public Park. The Botanical Garden is managed by a Trust, the Garden Route Botanical Garden Trust (GRBGT) which, with limited resources, manages the garden to keep it up to National Botanical Garden standards. We are dependent on donations from generous benefactors & need this money for up keep, maintenance & wages.

SPRING INDIGENOUS PLANT SALE 2 & 3 OCTOBER 2015

The Garden Route Botanical Garden will be hosting its Spring Plant Sale on the 2 & 3 October 2015. 

ARBOR WEEK 2015 - TREE LIST AVAILABLE

A fantastic selection of trees will be available for Arbor Week this year. You will find trees ranging from the large Black stinkwood (Ocotea bullata) to the small pretty Micky-mouse tree (Ochna serrulata) - delicate onderbos – Black witch–hazel (Trichocladus crinitus) and the colourful orange-red scrambler, the Hiccup nut tree (Combretum bracteosum).

May - August:             07h30 – 18h00

 

ENTRANCE FEES:  R10.00 per person. Children under 12 get in for free, if accompanied by an adult. 

 

OFFICE & NURSERY HOURS:

Monday - Thursday:     08h00 – 17h00

Friday:                        08h00 – 14h30 

 

NURSERY Open every first Saturday of the month from 09h00 - 12h00.
